The forged hoist hooks are quenched and tempered, featuring load-rated swivel hooks designed for maximum strength while minimizing weight and bulk. The low profile hook tip is compatible with Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kits, allowing for latch assemblies to be added even years after the original purchase. Each hoist hook includes markings forged into the product that incorporate Quic-Check® features, such as deformation indicators—two strategically placed marks, one just below the shank or eye and another on the hook tip—to measure changes in throat opening that could indicate abuse or overload. Additionally, angle indicators denote the maximum included angle permitted between two sling legs within the hook, while also facilitating approximations of other included angles. The hooks meet type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, which may incur additional charges.
