The eye hoist hooks are designed to be the most complete line available, constructed from either carbon steel or alloy steel. They feature a 5:1 design factor for carbon steel and a 4.5:1 design factor for 30T - 60T alloy steel, ensuring load ratings for safety. Each Crosby eye hook is crafted with an emphasis on maximum strength through proper design, careful forging, and precision-controlled quenching and tempering, allowing for reduced weight and bulk. Equipped with a latch, these hooks allow for latch assemblies to be added even years after purchase. Rigorous chemical analysis and tensile tests are conducted on each product identification code (PIC) to verify chemical composition and mechanical properties. The hooks come with type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel and Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, potentially incurring additional charges. Compliance with ASME B30.10 is maintained, and the hooks incorporate two types of strategically placed markings that address deformation indicators and angle indicators, known as Quic-Check® features.
