The forged hoist hook is quenched and tempered, featuring load-rated swivel hooks designed for maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk. The low-profile hook tip is engineered to utilize the Crosby S-4320 or PL-N attach kit. Latch assemblies can be added even years after the original purchase, providing versatility in use. Each hoist hook incorporates deformation indicators, consisting of two strategically placed marks – one just below the shank or eye and the other on the hook tip – allowing for a Quic-Check® measurement to determine any changes in the throat opening, indicating potential abuse or overload. Additionally, angle indicators help ascertain the maximum included angle permitted between two sling legs in the hook while enabling approximate measurements for other angles. The hook holds type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016. Certificates are available upon request at the time of order, which may incur additional charges.
