The forged, quenched, and tempered hoist hooks feature load-rated swivel hooks that ensure maximum strength without excessive weight or bulk due to careful design and precision-controlled manufacturing processes. The low profile hook tip is designed to utilize the Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kit, with the option to add latch assemblies even years after the original purchase. Each hoist hook incorporates markings forged into the product to address two Quic-Check® features: deformation indicators, consisting of two strategically placed marks—one just below the shank or eye and another on the hook tip—that facilitate a Quic-Check® measurement to determine any changes in the throat opening indicative of abuse or overload. Additionally, angle indicators provide guidance on the maximum allowed angle between two sling legs in the hook while allowing for the approximation of other included angles. The hooks also carry type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, possibly incurring additional charges.
