The Baileigh Industrial VM-949 milling machine is a conventional style knee milling machine designed for small to medium-sized machine shops or fabrication shops, offering robust quality and standard features that are often optional on other brands. The machine features a fully variable speed Yaskawa inverter drive with adjustable speeds ranging from 60 to 4200 RPM, allowing for enhanced tooling life and enabling applications such as thermal friction drilling. It is available in two voltage options: 220 volt single and three-phase, making it suitable for various shop environments. The VM-949 is built with high-quality castings for its base and frame to ensure rigidity and superior cutting performance. It is equipped with a standard NST 40 spindle for increased strength and versatility with larger tooling. Operation is facilitated by powered X, Y, and Z axes, with a Mitutoyo DRO (digital readout) that provides precise positioning down to 1/10 of a thousandth of an inch. Additional features include an air draw bar and a coolant system with a catch tray.
