The hydraulic shear is designed for shearing extremely long sheets of 10 gauge mild steel, featuring a robust steel plate frame that ensures accuracy and dependability. It accommodates a maximum sheet length of 120" and a maximum capacity of 10 gauge mild steel, with a minimum capacity of 24 gauge mild steel. The machine is powered by a 7.5 HP motor that operates on 220-volt 3-phase power and utilizes powerful industrial-grade hydraulics, allowing for smooth movements that enhance blade longevity. It can achieve up to 20 strokes per minute and includes an adjustable 24" backgauge for precise repeatability. Front support arms and table guides help keep materials square to the blade. The operator console features three modes: Inch mode for jogging the control and gently easing the blade down, Single mode for one cut cycle per foot pedal push, and Auto mode for continuous cycling as long as the pedal is held down. The shear comes equipped with high carbon chromium blades that have four shearing edges, allowing for turning when an edge dulls, thereby extending blade life and reducing costs. Hydraulic hold-downs firmly clamp the sheet to the table, preventing material lifting and improving blade longevity. The fully welded steel construction minimizes flex and maintains accuracy over time. The shear is covered by a 1-year parts warranty, and replacement parts, including blades, are stocked in-house for rapid shipping. Additionally, it includes lifetime technical support via phone from representatives with hands-on metalworking experience. Variants are also available in 80"-long and 100"-long versions, both capable of handling 10 gauge steel, as well as a 120" shear with a 14 gauge capacity.
