Supported by a welded steel frame, this box brake can bend metal along its 10-foot width without twisting. It is capable of bending 4 x 8 sheets at a 45° angle, making it ideal for adding a stiffening rib to support long duct pieces. The maximum capacity is 14 gauge mild steel and 18 gauge stainless steel, with a 10-foot (120") length that enables shops to handle a wide range of projects. It bends up to 135° and features 26 fingers of varying sizes (6 fingers of 3", 4 of 4", 10 of 5", 6 of 6"), allowing for the creation of boxes and pans up to 6" deep. Individual hardened fingers can be set up for straight bending or box and pan configurations. The apron shafts ride in precise oilable bearings, maintaining tight bend tolerances and minimizing operator fatigue. Equipped with 2 massive counterweights, it facilitates bending at maximum capacity while reducing physical strain. Heavy-duty truss rods support the apron, reducing flex during maximum capacity bends. The electro-welded all-steel framework ensures the metal brake remains accurate over decades of daily use at full capacity. The sheet metal finger brake weighs almost 3500 lbs.
