Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone (PEEK) that offers exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance, comparable to PPS, and can operate at higher temperatures, continually up to 480°F (250°C). This material provides steam and wear resistance, making it suitable for use in hot water or steam without experiencing permanent loss in physical properties. PEEK serves as a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments. It carries a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and features very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when subjected to flame. The general-purpose grade of Ketron® PEEK 1000 is unreinforced, providing the highest elongation and toughness of all PEEK grades. Additionally, the newly available black PEEK 1000 variant is ideal for instrument components where aesthetics are important, alongside seal components that require ductility and inertness. Ketron® PEEK is readily available in 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
