Ketron® PEEK 1000 (virgin, unfilled PEEK) provides chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS, while supporting higher temperature applications, with continuous use up to 480°F (250°C) in hot water or steam without permanent physical property loss. This high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers is characterized by its UL 94 V-O flammability rating and produces minimal smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Ketron® PEEK 1000 is an unreinforced general-purpose grade, offering superior elongation and toughness compared to other PEEK grades. The newly available black PEEK 1000 is suitable for instrument components requiring aesthetic appeal and seal components demanding ductility and inertness.
