Oil-filled nylon, available in green color, features a special formulation of liquid lubricant encapsulated during manufacture, providing true lubrication at the bearing surface and making it suitable for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible. This material limits moisture adsorption, which makes it ideal for submerged or critical tolerance applications. Additionally, Nyloil® green oil-filled nylon is available in a natural-oil grade for food contact applications, with the absence of pigment allowing this grade to conform with FDA regulations 21 CFR, sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17 for direct contact with food.
