Oil-filled nylon, available in green color, features a special formulation of liquid lubricant that is encapsulated during manufacture, ensuring true lubrication at the bearing surface. This material is particularly suited for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible, as it also limits moisture adsorption, making it ideal for submerged or critical tolerance applications. Additionally, NYLOIL® green oil-filled nylon is available in a natural oil variant, which complies with FDA regulations 21 CFR, Sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17, allowing for direct contact with food.
