Silbrade® braid reinforced silicone hose is designed for increased pressure applications, providing exceptional resistance to temperature extremes. This silicone tubing is made from FDA-sanctioned ingredients and allows for excellent bend radii, facilitating installation in confined spaces without obstructing flow. As a peroxide-cured product, Silbrade contains no sulfur or other acid-producing chemicals, eliminating concerns over staining, corrosion, or deterioration of materials it contacts. It demonstrates resistance to ozone and ultraviolet (U.V.) exposure over extended periods. Care should be taken when selecting fittings and clamps, as sharp barbed fittings or unlined metal clamps could potentially tear the hose wall, particularly at high pressures. Silbrade is not suitable for implantable or in-body applications or for continuous steam use; however, it can be low pressure steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved at temperatures up to 250°F during a normal autoclaving cycle. Repeated steam sterilization or long-term exposure to high temperatures or pressures may eventually cause silicone to relax and become gummy, necessitating replacement. This hose is ideal for applications such as adhesive lines, beverage service, bottle filling, chemical feeds, deionized water transfer, fermenter lines, hot fill lines, food handling, laboratory use, resin feeds, stirring vessels, brewery beer hose lines, and viscous material handling.
