Tygon® chemical tubing, also known as Norprene, is a high-performance co-extruded product designed for optimal chemical resistance and extended pump life. It features an inert, ultra-smooth plasticizer-free bore that resists the absorption and adsorption of aqueous fluids, while the Tygon outer jacket ensures long flex life in peristaltic pumps. This tubing boasts outstanding chemical resistance, allowing for virtually unrestricted use with acids, bases, salts, ketones, and alcohols, making it suitable for a wide range of chemical applications. The highly flexible outer jacket enhances the pump life and minimizes downtime associated with tubing failure. Tygon chemical tubing is compliant with FDA CFR 1771520 for food contact applications, is resistant to most commercial sanitizers and cleaners, and can withstand up to five cycles of autoclaving without compromising its service life. Typical applications include ink and solvent production, battery acid filling, specialty chemical production and processing, diagnostic testing, and sensitive fluid transfer.
