Wheaton® plastic straight side jars have a capacity of 250ml (8oz) and are made from polypropylene (PP) with an 89-400 finish. These jars feature a wide mouth design that is ideal for large solid samples, offering a safer alternative to glass jars due to the durable nature of the polypropylene material, which also provides good chemical resistance. Each container comes with a white polypropylene screw cap that is pre-attached to help maintain cleanliness. Additionally, these polypropylene containers are suitable for autoclaving or sterilization using ethylene oxide, ensuring compliance with various sterilization requirements.
