The Wheaton® 3 ml graduated V-vial kit includes clear, type I borosilicate glass V-vials with a capacity of 3 ml and 20-400 open top hole caps. Designed to perform all the functions of a standard taper kit on a true microscale, this kit simplifies numerous organic techniques, making it beneficial for synthesis and studying reaction mechanisms. Key attributes of this microscale kit include increased safety due to reduced exposure to toxic and radioactive materials, minimized environmental impact through decreased chemical disposal issues, and economic efficiency by significantly lowering the consumption of expensive chemicals. The kit eliminates breakage from frozen joints and allows disposable vials to be utilized as reaction vessels. All components are assembled with grease-free, screw-threaded connections, and every cap features open tops with PTFE faced septa for maximum versatility. Flask sizes available range from 1 ml to 10 ml, with graduated V-vials that have interior conical bottoms for reaction and collection purposes; the 1 ml V-vial is graduated at the 0.1 ml level.
