Insul-Sheet® insulation is an environmentally friendly, CFC-free, flexible elastomeric thermal insulation designed to retard heat gain and prevent condensation or frost formation on cold equipment, tanks, vessels, ducts, or large O.D. pipes. It is also effective in reducing heat loss when applied to hot equipment, ducts, or large pipes, and can serve as duct covering. The thickness is calculated to control condensation on cold surfaces, and for outdoor applications, it requires the application of a protective coating, cladding, or jacketing for optimum performance. The insulation complies with various specifications, including ASTM C 534 Type 2 (Sheet), Grade 1, ASTM D 1056-00-2C1, New York City MEA 186-86-M Vol. IV, USDA requirements, and has an STC rating of 17 per ASTM E 90. It holds a UL 94-5V flammability classification (Recognition No. E300774), has been tested according to ASTM E 84 2" 25/50 as per UL 723 and NFPA 255, and complies with the requirements of CAN/ULC S102-03. Additionally, it meets NFPA No. 101 Class A rating, fulfills requirements of NFPA 90A/B Sect. 2.3.3 concerning supplementary materials for air distribution systems, aligns with UL 181 Sections 11.0 and 16.0 for mold growth and air erosion, and meets ASTM C 411 for hot surface performance.
