Lab-Aire® II electric drying racks are designed to accelerate the drying of labware using warm, circulating air, while their compact footprint ensures minimal benchtop space usage. The 230V models are CE marked and provide 400 watts of drying power that gently circulates heated air around items, effectively decreasing drying time. The drying efficiency is enhanced by a replaceable foam filter that maintains dust-free warmed air. Users can select from three temperature settings—high, medium, and low—via a heat selector knob. An illuminated power button indicates when the unit is in use, and safety features include an 8-amp @ 120V (4-amp @ 230V) circuit breaker and an independent thermo-fuse to prevent overheating. The freestanding design, made from rugged ABS plastic, ensures it will never corrode and can be easily cleaned. The drip/storage trays are equipped with scalloped wells for holding long, thin labware, while the included small (3"), medium (4"), and large (5") pegs can be repositioned to accommodate various labware types such as beakers, flasks, bottles, test tubes, and cylinders. Airflow can be redirected by inserting plugs into unused peg holes. Additionally, removable polypropylene baskets provide storage for small labware and extra pegs. Users have the option to select a single-sided model for placement against a wall to save space or a double-sided model to double the drying capacity with only a minimal increase in footprint. The system also allows for customization with extra accessories and various sizes/configurations to create a tailored drying solution.
