These sterile scoops are utilized by pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and chemical companies for general production or laboratory work. The handle bump acts as a thumb rest to help keep the hand away from the scoop, thereby reducing contamination risks. The flat bottom allows for use as a weigh boat, and approximate volumes can be measured by removing excess powder. Made from FDA and EU conforming materials, these scoops are safe for food, drug, and cosmetic use. They are constructed from high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and are heat sealed in individual polyethylene bags. Each scoop is gamma irradiated sterile with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6, making them ready for one-time use and disposal. Lot stamped for accurate tracing, they are shipped with a certificate of processing for sterilization. It is important to note that sterilized products are not returnable. These sampling scoops are specifically designed for retrieving samples from a larger source. Capacity and volumes are estimated and are not intended for taking exact sample weights or volumes.
