For quick and efficient surface sampling of powders and granules, these sterile spoons are used by pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and chemical companies. The long handle allows easy access into jars, bottles, and other confined areas, while the spoons can also be utilized for dispensing small quantities. Constructed from high impact polystyrene (HIPS) materials that conform to FDA and EU standards, these spoons are safe for food, drug, and cosmetic use. Each spoon is heat sealed in individual polyethylene bags and is gamma irradiated sterile (SAL 10-6), ready for one-time use and disposal. They are lot stamped for accurate tracing and shipped with a certificate of processing for sterilization. Note that sterilized products are not returnable, and the sampling spoons are designed specifically for retrieving samples from a larger source; capacity/volumes are estimated and are not intended for taking exact sample weights/volumes, with stated volumes representing typical heaping samples.
