Electrophoresis gels and membranes can be easily stained, destained, fixed, and handled in these boxes, which are available in two options: a clear PMP box for easier viewing or an economical polypropylene box. Each box features a drain with an LDPE plug located flush with the bottom to minimize disturbance of the gel during liquid drainage. The boxes and covers are designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -70°C to +70°C and are resistant to acids, alkalis, and many solvents. The inside dimensions of the box are 12.7 x 12.7 x 5.1 cm deep (5 x 5 x 2 inches), with a liquid capacity of up to 750 ml.
