These sterile scoops are utilized by pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and chemical companies for general production or laboratory work. The handle bump acts as a thumb rest to help keep the hand away from the scoop, thereby reducing contamination risks, while the flat bottom allows for use as a weigh boat. Approximate volumes can be measured by removing excess powder. Made from FDA and EU conforming materials, these scoops are safe for food, drug, and cosmetic use and are constructed from high impact polystyrene (HIPS), which are heat sealed in individual polyethylene bags. They are gamma irradiated sterile with a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6, ready for one-time use and disposal. Each scoop is lot stamped for accurate tracing and is shipped with a certificate of processing for sterilization. It is important to note that sterilized products are not returnable, and these sampling scoops are designed specifically for retrieving samples from a larger source. Capacity and volumes are estimated and are not intended for taking exact sample weights or volumes.
