The Manitowoc Luminice II Virus and Bacteria Inhibitor is designed for use with Manitowoc Indigo NXT models ranging from 300 lbs to 1200 lbs, providing effective defense against viruses and bacteria. This innovative system employs a uniquely designed 254 nm UVC germicidal class light alongside a 185 nm UVV light to create Cold Oxygen Plasma (COP), which significantly reduces yeast and bacteria growth. Independent lab testing has demonstrated its capability to inhibit yeast and bacteria growth, resulting in a cleaner ice machine and facilitating easier cleaning while minimizing slime build-up. The fully integrated design allows the device to be mounted inside the Indigo NXT ice machine, where it is powered by the machine's board and seamlessly connects with the EasyTouch® display. Easy to operate, the system requires no additional chemicals; it only necessitates a simple UV bulb change once a year to maintain effectiveness. An indicator within the EasyTouch® display alerts users when it’s time to change the bulb by changing from blue to red.
