This protective hood is designed for use with Sundstrom half masks and full face masks equipped with filters or the SR 307 compressed air attachment, as well as the SR 90 airline. Constructed from chemicals-resistant materials, it offers protection against splashing and dripping of most solvents and acids in relatively low concentrations, although the material may be compromised by prolonged exposure to certain solvents in liquid form. The hood features an extra roomy design that accommodates both a safety helmet and ear protectors beneath it when necessary. It extends over the user's shoulders, back, and chest, while the visor is treated to prevent misting. The hood is machine-washable up to 10 times at a maximum temperature of +40 °C without spin-drying.
