Globe Scientific's GCM-R-24 refrigerated microcentrifuge is designed for critical temperature-sensitive samples, building on the foundation of the GCM-24. This unit features an intuitive button and knob interface for easy programming, a 24-place aluminum alloy rotor, and a biosafety aerosol containment lid, all of which are fully autoclaveable. It utilizes a powerful yet quiet compressor that can cool the rotor chamber and samples down to 4°C within just seven minutes of operation, even at maximum speed and capacity. Advanced features include a speed/RCF switch, quick spin function, and an audible alert function, while the unit ensures optimal sample protection with pre-cooling capabilities and a dual lid lock function that maintains temperature post-centrifugation. The GCM-R-24 also incorporates safety elements such as a dual door safety interlock, over-temperature and excessive speed detection, as well as automatic internal diagnostics. The centrifuge operates quietly at a noise level of less than 54 dB and is powered by a maintenance-free brushless DC motor. Optional rotors are available, and the unit employs CFC-free refrigerant, contributing to an eco-friendly design, with low carbon life rotor capacity.
