The Sanicompat is a self-contained dual-flush toilet system equipped with a built-in macerating system, designed for installation in half-bathrooms located up to 9 feet below the sewer line or up to 120 feet away from a soil stack. This system features a water-saving design with a dual-flush capability using 1.28 GPF (4.8 LPF) and 1 GPF (3.8 LPF), effectively minimizing water usage while maintaining efficiency. The toilet consists of a vitreous china bowl combined with an integrated macerator/pump, eliminating the need for a gravity flow tank. The macerating system handles human waste and toilet paper, utilizing a hardened stainless steel blade that requires no service or replacement. The flushing action is automatic, initiated by a push button located on the top of the bowl, which activates an electrically timed mechanism. Inside, the unit incorporates a pressure switch and a circuit board assembly that controls the motor, which is sealed for life in an oil-filled enclosure, and drives both the blade and the pump. The motor engages for approximately 10-15 seconds to macerate and pump waste away, followed by a timer-controlled refill of the bowl with fresh water. The Sanicompat is specifically designed for compact spaces and is suitable for use by individuals with physical limitations.
