The Freeze premium industrial 1/3 ton (4,000 BTU/hr at 65°F fluid) portable chiller system is an air-cooled closed loop chilling unit designed for smaller temperature control projects, capable of maintaining temperatures as low as 25°F when used with compatible external heat exchangers. It features a 6 GPM pump with performance metrics of 1 GPM at 15 PSI, 4 GPM at 10 PSI, and 6 GPM at 7 PSI, and operates within an ambient temperature range of 35°F to 100°F. The unit has a cooling capacity of 500 BTU/hr (150 watts) at 25°F and 2,300 BTU/hr (670 watts) at 45°F, with a working temperature range from 25°F (-4°C) to 65°F (18°C). The electronic programmed temperature controller provides a constant readout of setpoint and process temperatures, complemented by a fluid level indicator. The chiller uses a Danfoss reciprocating compressor, a brazed plate heat exchanger, and R134A refrigerant, with a maximum heat rejection of 5,100 BTU/hr (1.5 kW). Other specifications include a continuous duty 60-watt centrifugal pump, 5/8" barbed pump inlet/outlet, 2.5-gallon poly tank reservoir, inline strainer, and a galvanized steel frame. The powder-coated steel enclosure allows for easy access, and the chiller comes with a 1-year standard warranty. It is UL/CSA certified, meeting standards such as ETL 3170655, UL STD 1994, and CAN/CSA STD C22.2 No. 236.
