Made of crystal clear polystyrene, these 12x75mm FlowTubes™ are designed for fluorescence activated cell sorting and flow cytometry equipment, including FACS systems from BD Biosciences. The diameter and wall thickness of the tube's neck are maintained to very tight tolerances to ensure consistent compatibility with automated instruments. The tubes are available with several options: a standard two-position culture cap, no cap, or a cap that contains a 35µm nylon mesh screen, which is specifically designed to assist in cell sorting and straining applications. With a capacity of 5ml, these tubes are primarily used to collect dissociated samples for subsequent processing in automated flow cytometry instruments. Each tube is individually wrapped for convenience.
