MTC® Bio's 25ml tube is a screw cap conical tube designed to bridge the gap between 15ml and 50ml tubes, making it suitable for applications such as midipreps, general sample preparation, centrifugation, mixing, and storage. With a reduced height by 33% and a large diameter akin to 50ml tubes, this design facilitates faster re-suspension of pellets and ensures 100% recovery of small samples while minimizing freight costs, storage space, and plastic waste. The low profile, wide diameter format helps eliminate cross-contamination risks associated with accidental pipette contact with the inner walls of smaller tubes. The tube features a 360° support rim that allows compatibility with most racks, blocks, shields, and rotors, negating the need for adapters. Constructed from high clarity polypropylene, the MTC Bio 25ml conical tubes can withstand up to 17,000xg maximum RCF (for liquids with a specific gravity of 1.0, using appropriate rotors, cushions, and adapters) and are supplied sterile, certified RNase, DNase, and pyrogen free, packaged in racks or bags containing 25 tubes with screw caps attached. The features include compatibility with most 50ml rotors to eliminate the need for an adapter, printed graduations from 5ml to 2ml, a compact low-profile design for minimized shipping, storage, and waste, and gamma sterilization ensuring RNase, DNase, and pyrogen-free specifications.
