The MTC Bio line of bacteriological spreaders includes four different shapes and sizes: the original L-shape, a T-shape version, and two triangle shapes (large and small). All versions are supplied in sterile packaging and feature smooth, rounded edges to prevent unwanted cutting, scraping, or gouging of agar during inoculation. The L-shape spreader is ideal for evenly spreading bacteriological cultures, designed to allow users to rotate and apply easily throughout a round plate or dish. Constructed from ABS, it has a slight upward curve at the edge to prevent dragging or scraping. The T-shape spreader features a 34mm spreading surface, ensuring consistently even pressure across its span, making it suitable for spreading and dispersing liquids on agar culture plates, and is commonly used for CFU plate counts on water, milk, and urine. Made from ABS, it is intended for effective application. The triangle shape spreaders, available in two sizes with spans of 30mm or an extra-large 60mm, are designed for CFU count applications and feature a grooved handle for improved grip and orientation; these are made of polypropylene. All options come with appropriate specifications, dimensions, and certifications for laboratory use.
