Elma Tec Clean S1 is a mildly acidic ultrasonic cleaning solution concentrate designed for the effective removal of corrosion from various materials. It effectively cleans corroded metal parts, plastics, and glass by eliminating oxide film, rust, lime, grease, oil, corrosion, and mineral deposits. This solution is known for its fast, easy, thorough, versatile, and economical cleaning capabilities while being biodegradable. Users have found it useful for cleaning electronic parts with oxidation and corrosion, scuba diving gear, saltwater fishing gear, copper and brass decorative items, hard water film on ultrasonic cleaning tanks, lab sieves, lime and calcium-encrusted plumbing fixtures, musical instruments, and rusty tools. To use, Elma Tec Clean S1 should be diluted to 1 to 5% with water, depending on the condition of the objects being cleaned; a 2.5-liter container can yield up to 15 gallons of a 5% ultrasonic cleaning solution. Each batch can be reused until its effectiveness diminishes, after which it should be drained and disposed of according to local regulations. Typical ultrasonic cleaning time with Tec Clean S1 is about 2 minutes.
