The new Carrier WeatherMaker® rooftop units (RTU) with EcoBlue™ technology are designed to provide valuable benefits and integrate advanced features tailored for user convenience. The 48/50FC WeatherMaker® units, available in sizes up to 6 tons, are specifically designed to fit on Carrier roof curbs installed since 1989, facilitating easy replacements without requiring curb adapters or changes to utility connections. These single-stage units achieve SEERs up to 14.0 and IEERs up to 15.2, with all models capable of either vertical or horizontal airflow. The units feature "no-strip" screw collars and handled access panels, ensuring simple installation and maintenance. Additionally, all WeatherMaker units are field-convertible to horizontal airflow to accommodate unforeseen job-site complications, and the lighter design enables straightforward replacement. Fast plug-in connections to the standard integrated unit control board (UCB) and clearly labeled connection points further streamline installation.
