The new Carrier WeatherMaker® rooftop units (RTU) with EcoBlue™ technology, specifically the 48/50FC models, are designed to accommodate existing Carrier roof curbs installed since 1989, facilitating easy replacements without the need for curb adapters or changing utility connections. These units, available in capacities up to 6 tons, feature single-stage operation with Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (SEER) up to 14.0 and Integrated Energy Efficiency Ratios (IEER) up to 15.2. They support both vertical and horizontal airflow configurations. Key features include "no-strip" screw collars, handled access panels, and user-friendly installation processes, making the units easy to install and maintain. Additionally, the WeatherMaker units are field-convertible to horizontal airflow, providing adaptability for unexpected job-site complications. The lightweight design allows simple replacements, and the units come with fast plug-in connections to a standard Integrated Unit Control Board (UCB), with clearly labeled connection points to reduce installation time. These units are only permitted for sale in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
