The 58SB01/58SB1A 4-way multipoise gas furnaces feature an 80% AFUE efficiency and Carrier's Quietech™ noise reduction system for incredibly quiet induced draft operation. The design accommodates four-way multipoise applications, through-the-furnace downflow venting with 13 different venting options, and provides easy service access. An inner blower door is included for tighter sealing in sensitive applications. These furnaces are approved for use with natural or propane gas; the 58SB1A Low NOx units are designed for California installations and meet 40 ng/j NOx emissions, allowing installation in air quality management districts with a 40 ng/j NOx emissions requirement. Key performance features include a microprocessor-based control center with enhanced diagnostics, LED and reflective sight glass, fault code storage during power outages, adjustable heating air temperature rise, adjustable cooling airflow, power heat igniter, and a draft safeguard switch. The compact design stands at 33-1/3 in. (847 mm) tall, and the units are propane convertible with a gas conversion accessory. They also offer convenient air purifier and humidifier connections. Certification requirements include cabinet air leakage of less than 2.0% at 1.0 in.W.C. and less than 1.4% at 0.5 in.W.C. per ASHRAE Standard 193, and the product is made in the USA.
