The 58SB01/58SB1A 4-way multipoise gas furnaces, with an 80% AFUE rating, incorporate Carrier's Quietech™ noise reduction system for quiet induced draft operation. The furnaces feature a versatile 4-way multipoise design, allowing for through-the-furnace downflow venting with 13 different venting options, and are engineered for easy service access, including an inner blower door for tighter sealing in sensitive applications. These units are approved for natural or propane gas use, with the 58SB1A - Low NOx versions specifically designed for California, meeting the stringent requirement of 40 ng/j NOx emissions, making them suitable for installation in air quality management districts. Key performance attributes include a microprocessor-based control center for enhanced diagnostics, adjustable heating air temperature rise, cooling airflow adjustments, a power heat igniter, and a draft safeguard switch for proper venting. The compact design measures only 33-1/3 in. (847 mm) in height and is propane convertible with a gas conversion accessory, while also offering convenient connections for air purifiers and humidifiers.
