The 58SB01/58SB1A 4-way multipoise gas furnaces with an 80% AFUE rating feature Carrier's Quietech™ noise reduction system for quiet induced draft operation. The kit includes a microprocessor-based control center with enhanced diagnostics, LED and reflective sight glass, and fault code storage during power outages. It offers adjustable heating air temperature rise and cooling airflow. The furnaces are equipped with a power heat igniter and a draft safeguard switch for proper venting, along with an inner blower door for tighter sealing. Their 4-way multipoise design accommodates 13 different venting applications and allows hybrid heat® dual fuel system compatibility. The 58SB1A - Low NOx units are specifically designed for California installations and meet 40 ng/j NOx emissions standards, making them suitable for air quality management districts with similar requirements. Certification includes cabinet air leakage of less than 2.0% at 1.0 in.W.C. and less than 1.4% at 0.5 in.W.C. tested in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 193. All models are made in the USA and provide installation flexibility, with chimney-friendly configurations when used with an accessory vent kit.
