The 59SC2D multipoise comfort condensing gas furnace features SEER-boosting year-round electrical efficiency when paired with a compatible condensing unit. It offers up to 92.1% AFUE gas efficiency and includes an electrically-efficient fixed-speed, Constant Torque (FCT) ECM blower motor. The 59SC2D supports 4-way multipoise installation and is available in eight model sizes. It can be vented for direct vent/two-pipe, ventilated combustion air, or single-pipe applications. Low NOx units are suitable for California installations and meet a 40 ng/j NOx emissions standard, as well as being design certified in Canada and certified for mobile/manufactured home use. The performance attributes include a fixed-speed, Constant Torque (FCT) ECM blower motor ensuring efficient operation in heating, cooling, and continuous fan modes, along with a single-speed inducer motor and single-stage gas valve. It also features a silicon nitride PowerHeat™ hot surface igniter, adjustable blower speed for heating and cooling, an aluminized-steel primary heat exchanger, and a stainless-steel condensing secondary heat exchanger. The installation flexibility includes a 4-way multipoise design for upflow, downflow, or horizontal installation, with a unique vent elbow allowing for 12 different venting options, including optional through-the-cabinet downflow venting capability. The ideal height of the cabinet is 35 inches (889 mm), which is compact enough for taller coils while providing sufficient space for service, and it supports direct-vent/sealed combustion, single-pipe venting, or ventilated combustion air. This furnace is also approved for use in manufactured housing and mobile homes.
