The 58SB01/58SB1A 4-way multipoise gas furnaces with 80% AFUE feature Carrier's Quietech™ noise reduction system for incredibly quiet induced draft operation. Designed for versatility, the furnaces support a 4-way multipoise design with through-the-furnace downflow venting and 13 different venting options, ensuring easy service access. An inner blower door is included for tighter sealing in sensitive applications, and the furnaces are approved for use with natural or propane gas. The 58SB1A Low NOx units are specifically designed for California installations, meeting the stringent 40 ng/j NOx emissions standards, enabling installation in air quality management districts that require these specifications. Key performance attributes include a microprocessor-based control center with enhanced diagnostics, adjustable heating air temperature rise and cooling airflow, a power heat igniter, and a draft safeguard switch for proper venting. The units are certified to have cabinet air leakage of less than 2.0% at 1.0 in.W.C. and less than 1.4% at 0.5 in.W.C. when tested in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 193. The 4-way multipoise design allows for 13 vent applications and compatibility with the Hybrid Heat® dual fuel system. All models are chimney-friendly when used with an accessory vent kit.
