The 59SC2D MultiPoise Comfort™ condensing gas furnace showcases up to 92.1% AFUE gas efficiency and is designed for optimal energy performance when paired with a compatible condensing unit. It features a fixed-speed, Constant Torque (FCT) ECM blower motor for efficient operation across heating, cooling, and continuous fan usage, along with a single-speed inducer motor and single-stage gas valve. The furnace is equipped with a Silicon Nitride Powerheat™ hot surface igniter, adjustable blower speed, an aluminized-steel primary heat exchanger, and a stainless-steel condensing secondary heat exchanger. The unit provides installation flexibility with a 4-way MultiPoise design for upflow, downflow, or horizontal installations, and includes a unique vent elbow allowing for 12 different venting options, including optional venting through-the-cabinet downflow capability. It is factory-configured for upflow applications and has an ideal cabinet height of 35 inches (889 mm) to accommodate taller coils while still providing sufficient service room. The 59SC2D can be vented for direct vent/two-pipe, ventilated combustion air, or single-pipe applications, and is compliant with California's emissions standards with low NOx units meeting the 40 ng/J NOx emissions requirement. Additionally, it is design certified in Canada and approved for use in manufactured housing/mobile homes.
