3M™ Hot Melt Adhesive 3762 is a 100% solids, fast-setting hot melt adhesive specifically formulated for packaging and shipping applications, making it suitable for bonding materials such as corrugated fiberboard cartons, wood, particle board, chipboard, and foam. It exhibits aggressive hot tack, enabling rapid achievement of handling strength, and features a short open time that facilitates fast assembly line operations. The adhesive securely bonds difficult-to-seal substrates, including lightly waxed surfaces, while its low viscosity minimizes stringing, even at high production speeds. The recommended application temperature range for this adhesive is 350-385°F (177-196°C). Typical applications include general packaging, securing wood supports and reinforcements, repacking chipboard, creating point-of-purchase displays, trade exhibits, and bonding waxed surfaces.
