The LegendViz® traffic sign features an LED-illuminated legend for enhanced visibility at night, complemented by the LegendViz® Blinkersign®, which includes flashing perimeter LEDs for added safety. Both signs have been shown to increase legibility distance by as much as 100 percent compared to standard traffic signs, based on findings from a closed-course driver trial conducted by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). Key attributes include enhanced sign legibility without the need for retro reflectivity or headlights, a quick and easy installation process for one person, and a legend that remains illuminated from dusk to dawn. The perimeter LEDs automatically adjust brightness based on ambient light conditions, ensuring optimal LED output, and the signs have over 7 days of solar autonomy. They offer both solar (13/28) and AC power options for flexible configuration and comply with MUTCD standards. The dimensions of the sign are 30" x 30", featuring 3M™ DG3 translucent sheeting, with a legend designated as R1-1. An optional large pole banding kit for round poles with a diameter of 6" OD or greater and an anti-vandal tri-groove socket are available for separate purchase.
