The LegendViz® traffic sign features an LED-illuminated legend for improved visibility at night, and the LegendViz® BlinkerSign® 24/7 enhances safety further by including flashing perimeter LEDs. These signs have been proven to increase sign legibility distance by up to 100 percent compared to standard traffic signs, as determined by a closed-course driver trial and statistical analysis conducted by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). Key attributes include enhanced sign legibility without the need for retro reflectivity or headlights, a design that allows for quick and easy one-person installation, and illumination of the legend from dusk to dawn. The perimeter LEDs automatically adjust brightness based on ambient light to maintain optimal output, with over 7 days of solar autonomy. The signs offer flexible configuration options with solar 13/28 or AC power, are compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and are made in the USA. The dimensions are 30" x 30", featuring 3M™ DG3 translucent sheeting and a legend of R5-1. An optional large pole banding kit for round poles with a diameter of 6" OD or greater and an anti-vandal tri-groove socket can be purchased separately.
