Accuris™ compact balances are designed to meet the basic needs of academic and research labs requiring weight determinations with a readability of 0.01g to 0.1g. These balances utilize reliable and precise weighing technology with gold-plated, ceramic capacitors to determine sample mass. The compact line comprises six models, covering a wide range of maximum weight capacities: lower capacity units (120g, 300g, and 500g) are readable to 0.01g and feature a 4.5-inch diameter stainless steel weigh pan along with a draft shield ring to minimize the effects of air currents on measurements, while larger capacity models (1000g, 5000g, and 10,000g) include weighing pans of 6.3 to 7 inches in diameter and are readable to 0.1g without a draft shield. All models are equipped with large, brightly lit LCD panels and an intuitive, splash-resistant control panel for ease of operation. The different modes allow weight to be displayed in grams, ounces, or carats, and simple programs enable piece counting and percent deviation weighing. Leveling feet are conveniently located for easy access, and a visible leveling bubble aids in quick and simple leveling on the lab bench. Calibration can be performed using a calibration weight and the control panel, simply selecting a calibration point, placing the weight on the pan, and pressing the "CAL" button. Additionally, the balances feature an RS232 port for data output to a computer or printer and offer easy in-lab calibration, providing reliable performance for years.
