Accuris™ compact balances are designed to meet the fundamental needs of academic and research labs for weight determinations with a readability of 0.01g to 0.1g. Utilizing reliable and precise weighing technology with gold-plated, ceramic capacitors, the compact line features six models with varying maximum weight capacities. The lower capacity units (120g, 300g, and 500g) provide readings to 0.01g and include a draft shield ring to mitigate air currents, accompanied by a 4.5-inch diameter stainless steel weigh pan. In contrast, the larger capacity models (1000g, 5000g, and 10,000g) are readable to 0.1g, have larger weighing pans ranging from 6.3 to 7 inches in diameter, and do not include a draft shield. Each balance comes with large, brightly lit LCD panels and an intuitive, splash-resistant control panel that facilitates operation. The units support various weight display modes, including grams, ounces, and carats, and feature simple programs for piece counting and percent deviation weighing. Leveling feet are conveniently positioned at the front, and the control panel includes a visible leveling bubble for quick adjustments. Calibration can be performed using a calibration weight with a few keystrokes; users can select a calibration point in the mode, place the weight on the pan, and press the "CAL" button. The balances also include an RS232 port for data output to a computer or printer, ensuring versatility for laboratory use.
