The hydraulic drum crusher/compactor is designed to crush steel drums and automatically resets to crush additional drums. It includes a drum compacting feature which allows for the compaction of contents within the drum by removing the drum crushing platen. The crushing feature is compatible with any drum size up to fifty-five (55) gallons, while the compacting feature specifically operates with fifty-five (55) gallon drums. The machine boasts a crushing force of 38,000 lbs, capable of flattening 55-gallon drums to a height of 6 inches in just 30 seconds. Safety features include a pressure relief valve to prevent overload and a door interlock system to ensure the motor only runs when the door is closed. It is equipped with built-in fork pockets for ease of transport. This unit complies with OSHA and JIC standards and specifications. The approximate crushed height is 6 inches, with a full cycle time (crush and retract) of 25 seconds. The machine utilizes a 6.5 hp motor running on 230 volts, 3-phase power at 60 hertz and can process up to 250 drums per week. The usable chamber dimensions are 25 inches long, 25 inches wide, and 35-3/4 inches high. The crushing plate weighs 75 lbs, and the oil reservoir holds 18 gallons. The maximum crushing force is 38,000 lbs with a maximum compacting force of 18,000 lbs. A drip pan is included to minimize oil spills, measuring 31-1/2 inches in width, 4-1/2 inches in length, and 1-5/8 inches in height with a capacity of 1 gallon. Replacement and additional drip pans are available.
