The aluminum truck dock board with steel safety curbs is designed for portability and safety, featuring a deck made of tough high-strength aluminum tread plate with beveled edges for smooth entry and exit. Safety curbs, coated in yellow, are constructed of heavy-duty steel with cast tapered ends and are bolted onto the deck plate to enhance durability. The zinc-plated locking legs are compliant with OSHA standards and are canted to facilitate easier truck portability. The dock board measures 60" in width by 72" in length, with an assembled height of 18-11/16" and a total weight of 251 lbs. It has a capacity of 15,000 lbs, and specifications include a height difference at an 11-degree/19 percent incline of 12 inches, leg location from the beveled edge at 11 inches, a bend degree of 11, a bend distance from the beveled edge of 8-3/4 inches, and a curb height of 4-3/4 inches. When utilizing three-wheeled fork trucks, it is advised to order a dock board with a capacity at least four times the lifting capacity of the fork truck. The width of the dock board should be at least fifteen (15) inches wider than the load or equipment passing between the curbs, and if the load is elevated above the curbs, an additional fifteen (15) inches should be added to the overall width of the equipment.
