The Fortress® OSHA stair system provides both temporary and permanent access, featuring the versatility to accommodate a variety of layouts and lot configurations. This durable aluminum stair system, designed for all weather conditions, is available in two sizes: a 3-step model that adjusts from 23" to 34" (OSHA compliant at 25-1/2" and 34") and a 4-step model that adjusts from 27-1/2" to 42-1/2" (OSHA compliant at 34" and 42-1/2"). The platform legs have captured fasteners for enhanced adjustability, and a one-step riser connection utilizes an OSHA safety pin for secure locking. The system includes hardware-free handrails that slide into the platform, locking in place with Valco snap buttons, and can be installed on either side, folding flat for easy transport and storage. Each system comes with one riser handrail and one platform handrail, is OSHA compliant, and exceeds NIOSH lifting recommendations. Major components weigh less than 50 lbs for safe, one-person installation, and the system features welded construction with 6000 series alloy aluminum and extruded tread for maximum slip resistance. The independent adjustment of platform and riser legs facilitates easy on-site leveling, while the design allows for easy expansion, reconfiguration, or relocation. The grip grate surface provides superior traction in all weather conditions, making it especially effective in colder climates prone to snow and ice, as well as on jobsites with mud.
