Fibre-Metal faceshield windows are injection molded from propionate, which outperforms other window materials in key performance characteristics. They are pre-formed at the factory to the exact curve of crown protectors for easy installation, an exact fit, and a perfect seal against dust, dirt, and debris. All high-performance windows are 1/6" thick, providing an extra margin of protection without exceeding the cost of ordinary windows. The windows are available in three sizes: clear, special tints, and shades 3 to 5 and 8 (model 4178 only). They meet the ANSI Z87.1+ standard for eye and face protection and are tested by Honeywell to comply with CSA Z94.3 standards. Additionally, mesh facescreens are tailored for low-velocity particle protection, while metal screens offer high heat resistance for environments with elevated ambient temperatures, and mesh screens are advantageous in high humidity settings as they do not fog.
