The Hyperpure® bi-modal PE-RT tube is manufactured using Hypertherm® 2399 NT bimodal PE-RT (polyethylene raised temperature) by the Dow Chemical Company. This product is BPA free and has a minimum bend radius equal to 6x the tubing outside diameter. It comes with a 100-year limited warranty and is rated for pressures and temperatures of 200 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F. The linear expansion rate is 1.1 inches per 10°F per 100 feet, and it is 100% recyclable with a weight of 55 lbs. Its capacity is 0.92 gallons per 100 feet, and the dimensions of the coil are 1/2 inch I.D. by 1000 feet in length. The Hyperpure tubing is 3rd party certified (ICC-ES report PMG-1363) to various standards and codes, including ANSI/NSF 14 for plastic piping system components and related materials, ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects, and ASTM 2769 for specifications for PE-RT in hot and cold water distribution systems. It also meets chlorine exposure standards (CL-5) at 140°F, and has been tested for surface burning characteristics under ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102.2 standards. Additionally, it complies with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) 2015, 2012, 2009, International Plumbing Code (IPC) 2015, 2012, 2009, and International Residential Code (IRC) 2015, 2012, 2009. It adheres to CSA B137.18 requirements for PE-RT made in SDR-9, and complies with ASTM fitting standards including F1807, F2080, F2098, F2159, F1960, F3347, F3348, and ASSE 1061.
