Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are manufactured from annular corrugated 304 stainless steel tubing that is covered by a tightly woven 304 stainless steel braid. The corrugations are very close pitched to provide maximum flexibility. The Type NF hoses are constructed with braided stainless steel and feature copper sweat ends, making them U.L. approved for refrigeration service.
