Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are manufactured with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring close-pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB model includes female copper sweat fittings on both ends. The braided bronze hose with copper sweat ends is suitable for all services except refrigerant, and it is important to note that copper lines have virtually no stiffness or mass, making them highly flexible. However, these hoses are not suitable for steam applications.
